lyrics
I hear you have a mighty brew
I bid you pour me a pint or two
Imbibe with me one last jar
And remember fondly days afar
Cheers!
Let's sing a song forlorn
Of hell and doom and days long gone
But raise our glasses to the sky
For the drink will never die!
In this chamber of the dead
We'll cast aside our thoughts of dread
We'll have a frothy jug of beer
And drink a toast to those who once were here
Skol!
Let's sing a song forlorn
But belt it loud and shout it strong
For while mankind's plight is nigh
The drink will never die!
And when the last drop's in our bellies
When reality threatens our merry
We'll smash the bottle over barkeep's head
And roll on to the next house where we'll drink their blood instead!
Let's sing a song forlorn
Of hell and doom and days long gone
But raise our glasses to the sky
For the drink will never die!
Let's sing a song forlorn
But belt it loud and shout it strong
For while mankind's plight is nigh
The drink will never die!

So I can't leave a long enough review to say everything I want. But I will say this, I love this EP. It's a great little follow up to times, and has just enough of a dynamic shift in sound to prove that Smoulder isn't a one trick pony with their first album's formula. This one really plays up the 70s prog aspects (DUST and Manilla Road influences definitely shine through even harder here). It's still Smoulder, don't get me wrong. Just a different side in some ways, all of which are good. playfulpooka
